 Is it possible to restore from SUSE SLES11 with SP 8.1.7 to RHEL7.9 with SP 8.1.7

We are running on a old machine and need new equipment

the question is as above in the subject line.

I have read that the OS need to be the same on both machine, in our case we have the SUSE one and the REDhat one, both Linux, 

so is this seen as the same OS or is it different and we can't do the restore on the redhat machine ?

any help on this would be appreciated

Hi Rudolf 

Any Linux systems is threatened as "same", but one must be careful when it comes to restoration of system files.

I noticed that you also working with the Storage Protect, perhaps out agent less solution can be of use for you to protect applications etc?
