IDz v17 applying licence in Eclipse

Hello,
I installed IDz 17 as an eclipse add on rather than via Installation Manager (as I have always done in the past)
Then I downloaded the v17 activation kit from PPA- Online
I am not able to figure out how to apply the activation kit. I got to Help/Manage Licences and I only see an option to do a floating licence.
Would you be able to provide some guidance, please?
Thanks

Hi Anand,

Please refer to the following guide for installing a permanent activation kit for IDz 17.0: Installing a Permanent License for IBM Developer for z/OS.

The install may produce an error dialog to come up at the end and freeze the client. If you encounter that, force restart (close, startup) IDz and it should be fine with the permanent license applied. We were made aware of this issue a couple of days ago and will have it fixed very, very soon to avoid that restart workaround.

Thanks Andrew
Not sure what I am doing wrong. I initially provided the downloaded activation kit zip file, IDz_ActKit_17.0_MP_ML.zip, in the archive window.  I got an error message (see image 1135). Then I unzipped the activation kit and provided the IDz170_P2_PermanentLicense.zip file name. Then it didn't find anything (see image 1138)

Hi Anand,

Your screen capture is a little different from what I would expect with the "Exported Repository" part in the beginning of the location text bar.

After you extract "IDz_ActKit_17.0_MP_ML.zip" youll want to select the activation zip from the IDz client. So it'll look like this below...

To follow up with my last comment --

Could you try unchecking the "Group items by category" box? It's usually not necessary, but in this specific case, it is required.

We have a replacement kit that works without needing to uncheck that box and avoids error popups during installation. But what won't be officially available for a couple of days. We're urgently trying to get it in the field as we speak to correct these workarounds that are needed.

Yup, that was the trick, unchecking that box. Now it looks like this and I was able to successfully apply it.
Thank you
