 IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.R7(LTS) compatibility check with Teradata 17.2 version

Hi,

Can anyone please suggest Does IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1.R7(LTS) supports if the Teradata database (existing version Teradata 16.20.x version) is upgraded to Teradata 17.2 Version and also currently Cognos is using Teradata ODBC Drivers with 16.10 version, can we use the same driver version and would that work if the Teradata is upgraded to 17.2 version, please suggest.

Hi Radhakrishna,

Based on Software Product Compatibility Report  it seems that only v16.2 is supporteddf with the following notes:

  • Available in the Compatible Query Mode, the Dynamic Query Mode and for use with Dynamic Cubes.
  • Available for use with web based modeling.
  • The Compatible Query Mode only supports the x86 version of Linux.

I don't see any support for v17.2 even with v11.1.7 FP8.

Teradata v17.1 and v17.2 are supported with Cognos Analytics v11.2.4 FP5.
