 FS5300 : Storage Virtualize version 9.1.0.7 (LTS) Incompatible with VMware?

We have two FS5300 units running version 8.7.0.13, connected to Power (AIX) and x86 (VMware 8.0) servers, and we want to configure PBHA.

During PBHA configuration and testing, we encountered some issues; upon checking recommended firmware levels, we found that version 9.1.0.7 (LTS) includes necessary improvements.

However, when checking the SSIC for the FS5300, no VMware versions are listed for version 9.1.0.x. Conversely, if I select version 9.1.1.x (Non-LTS), VMware versions *are* listed, but we prefer to use LTS versions on our equipment.

My question is: does the SSIC data for version 9.1.0.x need updating? Or, given that VMware is not listed for version 9.1.0.x, should I assume there is an incompatibility?

For 9.1.0 and newer, do not choose a storage model. Only choose the software version:

  1. Choose Storage Family: IBM Storage FlashSystem/SAN Volume Controller
  2. Choose Storage Version: Virtualize 9.1.0.x

SSIC now includes a mix of old and new listings so it can be confusing. We are working on cleaning this up.
