Hello everyone,

Does anyone know which files we can analyze inside a snap package when we encounter an error on a storage system?
Sometimes it’s easier to diagnose the issue on the spot rather than opening a support ticket, especially when response times can be slow.
And if the client only has 9x5 support, it’s even more important to calm them down, since they won’t receive an answer until Monday.

You can just unpack the snap and explore what's inside. Most of the files are human-readable. Not reader-friendly, though, as it wasn't meant to be.

Hello everyone,

After an in‑depth analysis, I discovered that ChatGPT is able to read snap files and even generate performance reports and visualizations of existing errors.
In summary, my best allies at the moment are IBM Storage Insights Pro and ChatGPT, which can analyze snap files up to 500 MB.

Note: The analysis is not fully comprehensive, as there is one specific file that only the IBM support team can interpret.
