Hi All.

We recently installed a FS7300.  We are able to access it via IP address GUI for management.  Now, we want to access it via cli.  How to do that and what software we need for that.  Is ther some XCLI kind of package available for it.  Also,  we tried to add the FS7300 to our existing Storage Insights where A9000R is already added and is monitored. But, it fails to add a new FlashSystem inspite of the correct IP and credentials provided. Do, we need to make some changes to the existing Storage Insights collector module on the host from where we have collector installed.  Please advise.   Thanks.

for the Storage Insights part. You don't need to change anything, and if your 7300 is running 8.7.x, you don't need the Data Collector. You need to enable Call Home on the 7300 and you can add your FlashSystem 7300 to Storage Insights without the Data Collector.

Hi Sudhir, 

All you need is an SSH client (Putty, etc.).

Hi Nezih.  Thanks. Yes, I already tried that but it gives me an error: What special we need to do in putty to get it going. Do we need to download some sshkey/hoskey etc from the GUI interface first. Thanks.

Are you using key exchange instead of user password to connect? Is it possible to try to connect with superuser first?

Hi Thanks.  I now tried with the 2nd IP and it worked.

Due to some reasons it doesn't like the 1st IP, which works fine for GUI access. But it worked with 2nd IP.  We actually have three IPs for this FS7300. 

Now, on the 2nd part - How to add it to Storage Insights. Note: The SI is existing one and has a A9000R being monitored fine.  Looks like for FS7300 there is another SI plugin or some software.
