 Disable Staging while another Staging Job is calculating

Hello,

Can you disable staging while another staging build  is still calculating?  I had a staging build calculating and I disabled staging and after an hour the staging build that was calculating went back to Pending.  I am confused.

Hello Dawn, Your question on staging is acknowledged.

Here is the reply from @Jon Sober - 

You can disable Staging this way. The current build will run to completion but the next build will not start. I see the "Pending" status when the ongoing build is at the end of Finishing and before being marked as Finished, usually only for a minute or two.

Also, I searched previously asked queries on staging on community & I found a reply from Ed Hayman, here is the reply :
In Q2 2023, we will be releasing the ability to promote the last completed stage even if another staging calculation is underway or is paused due to Disable Staging feature.  

In addition, the Disable Staging calculation feature will be enhanced over the next quarter to support the following capabilities:

  • Disable Staging at the project level (vs. instance)
  • Schedule Disable/Enable Staging (e.g., disable staging calc at 6 am; enable staging calc at 8 pm)

I had tried disabling Staging just after a check-in and saw the calculation start. I never waited to see if it would pause later...

Thank you Varad for this information. I did see this in Help Center and when I enabled the Calc Prioritization I was expecting to see the Dev and Staging tabs but they were not there.  I then saw the comment that those tabs would be available at a later date.
