The problem I am trying to solve is to limit the values displayed in a dropdown custom field on a user story based on the team that is assigned to it. We would like to avoid having to scroll through a list of many values when only a subset is applicable to any given team and would prefer not to create multiple custom fields with the subsets of values.
I was thinking this could be possible with the configurable dropdown control, but that seems to be limited to custom fields of type 'Targetprocess Entity' - is there any way around that?

Unfortunately what you have identified is indeed part of the limitations of Targetprocess at this time.
