I'm experiencing some intermittent problems passing multipart messages through a Web Service Proxy set up with an HTTPSHandler.
The messages are multipart - they're soap with an XOP reference to a file attachment. The proxy has an https client address, then posts downstream to a http endpoint. If the message size is small, it all works fine. Once the messages go above 80KB or thereabouts, that's when the problems start. Sometimes the message gets through the proxy and back from the server; more often than not the proxy sits and hangs for a while before reporting an "Internal Error" (with little else). I have seen "Implied action Processing unread attachments. failed: Internal error" reported as well, but only recently.
I've scoured the settings on the XML Manager, the front side handler and in the Threat Protection, but nothing I change seems to make a difference (I've made all the size restrictions as large as possible to try to prevent anything being blocked or removed).
Has anyone seen this? If I pass messages through an HTTP Handler on the same proxy, it works absolutely fine.
