​​Hey community, long time no question :)

We've stumbled across an issue when trying to replicate our Apptio/SFTP egress connectors from Datalink (classic) to Datalink.

Has anyone been able to replicate any data pushes from CT to a folder, alternative system/tool or even from CT to CT?

Hi Julie,

This is the functionality that Datalink currently has:

  1. Use the Apptio-to-Apptio connector to push data from one CT instance to another CT instance.
  2. Use the ServiceNow Egress connector to push data from Apptio to ServiceNow
  3. Use the Datadrop connector or the SFTP connector to push data externally from an SFTP server into Apptio.

And this is what we are working on and will be available in Q4.
  1. A Download to SFTP connector which will allow for data from CT to be pushed into an external SFTP folder.

Hey @Julie Batty!  What release/version are you using?  I went here​ and saw something about egress integration (and API calls), but with 12.9.11.

The connector is up and running in Datalink (Classic) but we can't seem to find the same options under the Apptio connector in the new Datalink - I've spoken to Support and it's a missing step in the new version of Datalink so wondered if anyone has been able to

Jules,
you mentioned that it's missing a step in the new version of datalink. Did you submit a support ticket for that?  Is the step missing in the connector, or the connector documentation?  If you have a support ticket and want to PM or email it to me, I'll see if I can find out anything.  If it's a documentation issue, I work pretty closely with the docs folks so I can talk to them about it. If it's an engineering issue, I can check on it, but it gets prioritized against other issues and new features so I don't have as much influence there. ;-)

​​Hey Deb, I've raised it via a number of the product team, was told earlier today that it's definitely something that's missing and is on the roadmap for Q4 so hopefully won't be too long until it's available.

The documentation provides the directions on creating the SFTP connector but just no functionality to do it :D
