 Custom data into Cloudability / Apptio B.I

Hello, folks!

We're trying to import custom data imported with Datalink into Cloudability/Apptio B.I, it's a very simple formula.

We have a database with the sessions count, for instance: 200 sessions, we need to calculate how much our session cost using our cloud cost.

Sessions / Cloud cost

Anyone already did something similar?

Hi Gabriel,

At this time, Cloudability and Apptio BI are not able to accept data ingestion from Datalink. Apptio BI can only ingest data from one of the Apptio products (eg. Cloudability). 

If the cost is already coming into Cloudability you could utilized the Calculated Metric feature in Apptio BI to make the calculations you want. The Session Count would have to be a static number in this scenario though, and if it changes, you'd need to update the Calculated Metric.

Ha Gabriel,

if you also make use of Apptio Costing (CT) an alternative would be to load the relevant data into CT and build the metric there.

You can set up a scheduled data import into CT using datalink if you have an API that exposes this information.
