 Custom application deployed in IVIGv11 pod

Hello,

we are planning migration from SVGIMv10 (software) to IVIGv11 (containers). We have a custom built user portal that currently runs on the same WAS9.0.5/cluster as SVGIM. This portal uses SVGIM REST API where available, but the are some function that are not available as REST API, so we are forced to use SVGIM Java API. The result is our custom user portal needs to run on the same Java as SVGIM.

As we want to upgrade to IVIGv11 in containers, we need to understand how to plan portal migration. Even though IVIG has more REST APIs compared to SVGIM, it still does not cover all function we are using. I have created a Case asking if deploying another application to IVIG pod would break/limit software support conditions. Meanwhile - has anybody deployed another application to IVIGv11 pod (to Liberty)? Any experience with this?

You are able to use the APPS (EJB based) apis in the container more or less unchanged - there are some small changes in the JAR files to include (there is a new stub jar and some name changes) - application code should not need any changes but of course there can be infrastructure changes as you cannot run the code on the IVIG Liberty server but need a dedicated application server somewhere else.

Support for EJB APIs
This release delivers Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) APIs for IBM Verify Identity Governance - Container.
To access these APIs, go to <Starter>/bin/util directory and run the script ./getExtensions.sh
Next, go to /extensions/<ReleaseVersion>/examples/ejb_apps directory. Open the readme.html file for detailed instructions to set up the Java client for accessing the EJB APIs as well as code samples.
