I believe Support answered this question for you but I'll capture the response here as well so others can benefit. The real answer is there is no direct product supported way to "turn metrics on or off" but there are some manual ways. The best way would probably depend on all that you are doing, how often you need to do it, how many metrics, whether they are interdependent, etc.
That said, here is one approach that might work for you (credit to
@Igor Ogorodnik ) for this option:
You cannot disable metrics. You can either create them or delete them.If you don't want a metric to calculate, for the time being, you can remove the string from the "Value Calculation" field and paste it into the "Description" field.Example:App Total YTD metric to be changed from:
To:
This way there is nothing to calculate for this metric.
