Adding a custom metric to a group or subgroup should expose that metric to BI and it will be available in the metrics drop down within the visualization editor. As a heads up, there can occasionally be a lag as those systems sync between adding a metric to a group and it being visible in the BI drop down - so you may have to give it a little bit of time.
If after this the metric is still not visible, I would suggest reaching out to your account team to submit a ticket and our support and engineering teams will be able to investigate!
The context should not be required here as it is populated by the data source when it is present (i.e. from ApptioOne). It is not a problem if it is blank, but let me know if you have more questions about this
