 code 9.1.0.3 issue

Hi all

I am on 5200. Current code is 9.1.0.2 ...trying to patch to code 9.1.0.3 - unable to

Using test utility 49.5, pass to proceed. However, having issue updating with below error:

"Failed to apply update package"

Any issue of the code?

Hi Azman,
This error is likely what’s appearing.


Given that, it seems to affect the FS5200 and FS5300, since the FS7300 and FS9500 do not show any issues when upgrading the firmware.
At this point, the only option is to wait for version 9.1.0.4 or wait for IBM to release a fix.
In this situation, it’s not even worth opening a ticket, as the response will simply be to wait for a new firmware, which has happened several times in the past.

Yeah, using test utility 49.6 -  results show all good. 

But I got below result when trying to install code 9.1.0.3

Thanks for for your recommendation. I'll wait for the fix. Seems fix 9.1.0.3 not working on 5200.

Hi Azman, same issue here, but on FS7300.

In our case, we believe the problem was due to a canceled installation after the initial test (instead of choose resume after the warnings, we canceled). Once canceled, it's not possible to install any version, always getting "Failed to apply update package" error message.
We were on v8.7.0.2 trying to upgrade to v8.7.0.9. We also tried versions 8.7.0.7 and 8.7.0.10 with identical result.

The solution was to restart the node through the service mode. Afterward, we were able to upgrade to version 8.7.0.9 without any issues.

Hi Adalberto,

Test Utility v50.0 was the version we used.

At the moment we cannot go to version 8.7.1 or higher since traditional replication has been discontinued.

Hi Adalberto,

As I mentioned before, we've already resolved the issue by restarting the node in service mode. After doing so, the installation worked correctly.

Installing via CLI might have worked, as it seemed to be a GUI problem.

Good news. My earlier translations was not accurate, but everything is now clarified and you can proceed with the upgrade to version 8.7.0.10. 😊
