Is this watsonx statement true?

"The IBM Aspera Faspex platform allows administrators to configure file type restrictions for uploads. You can set up 'file type actions' in the Faspex administration interface to either allow or block specific file extensions, enhancing security and predefined content handling within your Aspera environment."

Filters are applied on the HSTS and you can configure specific file extensions to never be uploaded or downloaded.

Faspex has a feature called File Processing, which can validate files that are uploaded and can allow or deny each file based on file names or file contents.

Thank you for answering my question. As a follow up, do you know if there is anyway to help prevent circumventing this protection, through something like file renaming and if Faspex also offers this?

Checking MIME type, file signature, etc..

The Faspex File Processing Feature will give you the flexibility that you need to check mime types and virus scanning.

Your Transfer Server can be locked down to allow allow transfers to/from via the Faspex web application.
