 Apptio BI - Metrics vs Dimensions

We are trying to roll out Apptio BI for our users, but are hitting a few snags.

The main one right now is that anything pulled from Bill of IT is showing as a Dimensions instead of a Metric, meaning it will not pull the way we want into the reports for users.

Any ideas how to fix this? What causes a field to be a Dimension vs a Metric?

Hello Micaela - Have you reviewed the data configuration in the data source management? I would use the show/hide options there to try and hide all of the dimensions and then show all of the metrics. If the metrics are still not an option in the data source management, what version of Apptio is your BoIT on? 

The following minimum Bill of IT version requirements apply:

• Reporting for Bill of IT out-of-the-box data: Cost Transparency version 12.8.3 or later
• Reporting for custom fields in out-of-the-box data, custom modeled data sets, custom modeled metrics: version 12.9.7
• Multi-currency support: Cost Transparency version 12.9.1 or later
• Row level security support: version 12.9.1. or later

Hi - Renee's answer was helpful, but did not resolve my issue. We have several calculated metrics within Bill of IT that we were expecting to be included in Apptio BI, so we have been trying to figure out where to go from here. We are stuck with very limited functionality.
