Can I just ask why you would not be able to do it all with agents? Note assistants are our legacy tech eventually meant to be retired.

So, does that mean Assistant Builder is going to be removed from watsonx Orchestrate in the future?  If so, can I know if we are building a chatbot how would be creating the user interaction part, since I don't see a way to build an assistant, which we can customize the way a chatbot and a user interact, using Agent Builder in watsonx Orchestrate. I just want to clarify that part since it confuses me. I hope you understood my confusion. 

The assistant builder will remain as-is for the foreseeable future but not invested into as much as we do in the agent builder, our main dev focus.

Some more work to be done but agents can handle user interactions: they are LLM driven by default with ability to tailor through agent instructions / guidelines, but can alternatively be driven by our flow feature which (mostly/soon) covers what custom actions of wxA (+ workflows & skill flows of the older wxO) would do, for more control of the UX.

So, can I know how can we create actions and steps which we can create in Assistant Builder, are we going to use Agent builder for creating assistants and agents.

Will we get a same interface to design and build the conversational interface that chats with end users like how we built in Assistant Builder or will we be getting some other in replace of the Assistant Builder or will we be getting a new way to design and build the conversational interface that chats with end users. 

I would like to know a few details about that since I can study about that.

Hi Himasha, the equivalent of action flows in assistants are flows in agents, see more @ https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/watsonx/watson-orchestrate/base?topic=building-tools

LLM can also handle the flow itself by default with guidance of instructions/guidelines you write in natural language while you can use flows to be more prescriptive.

Please explore those possibilities and create requirements for those @ https://watson-orchestrate.ideas.ibm.com/ so we can ensure we cover your use-cases there and on the long run.

Thank you for the information that you have provided and I'll refer that you have given me.  And one last clarification I want to ask, which is I want to know will the assistant will be completely gone and will the agents relace the work done by the assistant.
