Take a look inside IBM's offices that have been completely reimagined since the start of the coronavirus pandemic
IBM has been working hard to make sure that it is providing a safe work space for its employees as it begins to reopen some of its offices amidst the pandemic. For instance, IBM has developed a system called Watson Works, which is able to coordinate how many employees can come to the office at a time and ensure that no one coming in has symptoms. There are mask dispensers, disinfecting wipes hand sanitizer stations throughout the building and even a new food ordering system in place to reduce human contact and encourage social distancing. Right now, IBM's Yorktown Heights office location is being used as the prototype for other offices who plan to adopt similar changes.

IBM has built a new drug-making lab entirely in the cloud
Scientists at IBM have created a new chemistry lab platform called RoboRXN built entirely in the cloud. This new online lab platform will allow scientists to design new molecular compounds and send the information to a robot in a remote lab to then synthesize these molecules and execute experiments. As the article states, the goal is to help accelerate the process of creating molecular compounds and experimentation and thus possibly lower the costs of drug development so scientists can respond quicker to health crises such as the current coronavirus pandemic.
