  • 1.  VIOS vscsi hot-plug/swap

    Hi,

    is that my fault or is hot-plug with vscsi devices not possible?

    If I add a new hdisk to the VIOS and scan the controller with cfgmgr the disk appears and everything is fine. However, if I add that disk to an LPAR afterwards via mkvdev it is listed in lsmap but if I use cfgmgr on vscsi0 on the target LPAR I don't get the new disk. Shouldn't that work? Or does hot-plug not work with VIOS devices?

    Could be this max_transfer behaviour.
