    Hello everybody,

I have configured PowerHA v7.2.3 and it works very good and balances the ressoures groups from one node to another if you selected the option.

But ihave a problem. When i want to see the status of the cluster i do the following :

smitty hacmp à   Problem Determination à  Tools View Current Status

And the result is the error message that follows :

Commande : échec         stdout: oui           stderr: non

Avant l'exécution de la commande, des instructions complémentaires peuvent s'afficher ci-dessous.

    No response

cldump: Waiting for the Cluster SMUX peer (clstrmgrES)
    to stabilize....No response

    Failed retrieving cluster information.

There are a number of possible causes:
clinfoES or snmpd subsystems are not active.

Can anybody help me please ?

    Thanhk you very much.

    Hi Koffi,

the reason of your problem is missing SNMP configuration. Did you enable SNMP? Did you enable cluster smux?

But do you need it at all? What do you want to see in the current status? The status of the cluster itself you check with clmgr query cluster. The status of resource groups you can check with clmgr query rg or with clRGinfo. If you need topology information, use cltopinfo. There are a lot of useful commands in PowerHA, which you can use to obtain the detailed status of the cluster. Very few of them requires SNMP and all last clusters I configured were without SNMP. Because you don't need it.

Another side note. You have PowerHA 7.2.3. The latest is 7.2.7 and even if I had problems with it, consider updating to 7.2.6 or 7.2.7.

clstat doesn't work without SNMP. That's the most common request.

If you update, consider that you can only update 3 minor versions at a
    time.

To get from 7.2.3 to 7.2.7, you'll need to upgrade to an intermediate
version (maybe 7.2.5) and start HA, then upgrade again to the final
    version.

    Hi,

for this purpose I'm using qha, which is a script initially written by Alex Abderrazag. It's working without SNMP and can be downloaded from https://github.com/adilnaimi/powerha/blob/master/qha.sh
