    We are here with our new release for the Ansible power_aix collection v2.0.0
    We are thankful to everyone in our journey leading to end-to-end ansible automation on AIX platform. Here we come with some new additions in our recent release. Thanks to all the contributors who came forward and delivered outstanding contributions to the collection. It was overwhelming. Please go through all the description to know what we were able to achieve together. Followings are the additions in our release:

    Version 2.0.0

    Notes

       * New module: route (Manage routes on IBM AIX systems.)

       * New module: snap (snap command to gather diagnostic data)

       * New role: live_kernel_update

       * New playbook: demo_aix_lku_role, demo_route, demo_snap.

       * Enhancement in NIM ADM role to support concurrent migration.

       * Enhancement in tunables module to support -K flag

       * Removed modify state from user module.

       * Enhancement in NIM module to support new fileset installation.

       * Enhancement in group module to support -R flag for LDAP

       * Updated nim-flrtvc module in accordance with the flrtvc script

       * Fixed idempotency issue in NIM module for allocation and deallocation.

       * Minimum required ansible version is 2.16.0 now.

    Good news! There are at least three ideas from us and we are looking forward to test the new functions. =)
     
    On Ansible Galaxy you can see the new version, but on Github under Releases version 1.9.2 is the latest available version.

    We are currently looking for the inputs from the customer for new ideas, please share. Regarding the version showing on github, we are waiting for the approval of Red hat automation hub release approval. Once we get that we will update github version. Thanks for mentioning.

    Thank you for the feedback Niklas. As Nitish notes, we would greatly appreciate input on new automation use cases of interest. For all reading this thread, please share the top 3 new AIX automation use cases you would like to see.

    It's time to release version 2.0.3, because no customer is able to use the tunables module since version 2.0.0 and I hope a lot of customer use this great Ansible implementation to manage their tunables. ;-)

    Hey Niklas !
    We are aware that this tunable fix is very critical and should be available ASAP. I would really appreciate if you focus on our github issues. There are 5 open defects which are regarding our flrtvc module. We are figuring out if we can close those and have some more value addition for our release. There was one PR opened from one of the customer to add new "sysdumpdev" module which we have merged today. Thanks for patience and have trust that we are working on new release as I am typing this reply.
