  • 1.  Samba version supporting Share-Level Security

    Hello team, I need a help to identify which version of Samba that can be provided by IBM Cloud supports Share-Level Security. This request came from a a client that has Samba version 3.6 in their on-premise and is migrating to the IBM Cloud, and their application requires this feature. In the documentation, https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/aix-toolbox-open-source-software-downloads-alpha, only version 4.10 and above is listed. I'd appreciate your help here.

    I thin share-level security is deprecated from Samba 4 onwards. So now it's only user-level security.

    security = share has been removed from Samba since many years. There are alternative configuration options for most setups that used share level security before though.
