  • 1.  Nagios Failed to create IO broker set

    We recently installed the Nagios rpm but get the following error message when trying to start it:

    # /opt/freeware/bin/nagios /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg -d

    Nagios Core 4.4.3
    Copyright (c) 2009-present Nagios Core Development Team and Community Contributors
    Copyright (c) 1999-2009 Ethan Galstad
    Last Modified: 2019-01-15
    License: GPL

    Website: https://www.nagios.org
    Error: Failed to create IO broker set: Error 0

    We have the following rpm installed:
    # rpm -q nagios
    nagios-4.4.3-1.ppc

    Not sure whether this is because of resource limitations
    Can you try after setting "ulimit -d unlimited" ?
