    Hello,

       has anyone have or resolved this issues where the "power 10" connection to the HMC via  this new ebmc state is showing "Fail authentication " i put in the correct password and it still say fail authentication.  the P8 or P9 i can just login to ASMI and update the "HMC Access password " with this new eBMC  this is not the case not that i know of .  Can anyone out there help me with this ? i seen those videos but those just tell me how to set it up .

    Hi,

    in my case, this error occurred with version differences between HMC and eBMC (Systems comes with FW1030 and HMC was on v10r2m1021).
    Try to access the eBMC directly on the system and check the access password locally, also System Firmware Levels.

    Hello,

    I faced similar issue with P10 S1024 servers so i decided to upgrade the server firmware and it did solved it. Not sure if it is the same issue but it is worth to give a restart as well. I hope this is new server so it can be done quite easily ?

    Hi  Rohit,

        thanks for the response.  so the firmware level is MM1050_52 what i do notice is the system  has no connection  but the VMI connection action button is grey out. not sure what's that about.

    Hi Marvin,

    Is the cabling good between the server and hmc ? Please also try restarting the server and then check the VMI configuration option . It should still be active even if there is no connection status.
