Is this partition automatically mirrored via the mirrorios performed at the vio level or do I need to mirror the vg at the partition's aix level?

If it is the latest, I am familiar with 'mirrorvg rootvg', etc, but I could not add hdisk1.

I gather that I need to add it at the vio level but I am unsure how to do it properly.

Would someone willing to point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

    • mirrorios only mirrors VIOS rootvg. It does not automatically mirror the AIX partition's virtual disks.
    • You need to manually mirror the volume group in the AIX partition by using mirrorvg.
    • Ensure that both virtual disks are available on the AIX partition, add the second disk to rootvg, and then perform the mirroring.

This should set you up with redundancy for the AIX partition.
