Thanks for your input.
I've also had this confirmed by Lab Services so I will be installing LDAP for the customer and connecting to AD and not ADFS.

AIX authenticates to AD using an LDAP client. If Azue AD provides LDAP service then this can be used.

A bit more info on this.
Azure uses Active Directory Federated Services (AD FS) for authenrtication with uses the SAML protocol.
So what the customer would like to do is authenticate AIX logins against ADFS.
Is this possible wth AIX?

The Azure authenticator is a standard Microsoft solution on Azure Cloud (AD) but it uses SAML.

Hi Glenn,
did they implement it on Linux? Can they point to a similar solution for Linux?

My customer is looking to implement SSO for AIX authentication.
They currently use Azure for authentication which uses SAML authentictaion.
I'm aware that AIX can use AD for authentication but I'm told that SAML is the preferred authentication method for Azure based authentiction.
Any thoughts on how it may be possible to use SAML authentication with Azure?
