In our SAP on IBM i Webcast “Power10 Performance, Compression and IBM i Security” on November 16th, 2023, Ron Schmerbauch took a deep dive into capabilities and features that came new with Power10 hardware, IBM i 7.5 and the most current technology refreshes for IBM i 7.4 and 7.5. He explained the general performance gains of Power10 in comparison to earlier processors as well as the performance improvements for data compression during backups with the Power10 Nest Accelerator (NX) and ZLIB. He also gave a comprehensive overview of important security settings in IBM i and recent enhancements in that area.
