Meet Duccio Manganelli who is a Sales Director at Uno Informatica S.p.A. and has been an IBM Champion for last three years! He holds a master degree in Nuclear Engineering from University of Pisa, Italy. He has more than 30 years of experience in the world of Information Technology, starting with CAD/CAM solutions, then moving to UNIX environments and finally to IBM technologies (Power, Storage, Security, Data Integration and Management, AI). This path started with technical tasks and responsibilities and then evolved towards the commercial field and participation in the definition of business strategies. He has actively contributed to the management and implementation of projects with customers that have become official IBM references. He has held various conferences as a speaker during IBM and non IBM events in the past years.
His favorite product is IBM Power, because according to some people it should have been dead the day after it was announced in June 21, 1988, and yet it is still alive, well and young!
His favorite type of advocacy is speaking at events and conferences and according to him, “Becoming an IBM Champion is a privilege and it allows me to interact with specialists with rare expertise”.
He is really excited to share the success story of his company, “I am proud that Uno Informatica has become a reference for so many other BPs, and also for IBM, because of its expertise. An interesting success story could be the first deployment of RH OCP on a Power platform in Italy at a leading financial customer”.
