Ann set up an automated program last week and is wondering how things are going. Are contacts entering, progressing through the flow? Did she set the right content and criteria? Can she check quickly and easily? The answer is "YES!" thanks to Program insights.


Ann can easily see details

  • How many contacts have entered her program?
  • How many contacts have already been through a step?
  • How many contacts are currently active?
  • Are contacts not reaching a particular path?
  • Do contacts seem to be stuck?
  • Are contacts getting removed unexpectedly?


Program insight overview provides Ann with answers

  • Total number of contacts that are currently active within the program flow
  • Total number of contacts removed due to things such as:
    • Loss of consent for a channel on arrival
    • A missing email address for an email step
    • Frequency limits reached for a mobile app step, or org level frequency for an email step
    • Lost contacts from a merge contact job
    • Contacts deleted from the database
  • Total number of contacts exited through an exit icon plus those removed

Program insight panels provide object level details

  • Gives a quick view of the configuration and content
  • Shows the number of contacts that have been through that object (cumulative to date) and how many are currently active and waiting to proceed to the next object.
  • For Update profile and CRM sync it shows how many contacts arrived and how many were updated based on rules you have set.
  • Shows the number of active contacts on each wait interval
  • Shows the number of contacts removed at a particular message step

Tip: Did you know?

After completing a step, path, or action, contacts proceed to a wait before moving on to the next step. In this "waiting" state, contacts are still considered to be associated with the previous step. They have not yet "arrived" at the next object, in this case, the Exit.

Kristin, it does work with existing programs yes. We look back as far as 450 days if data is there (programs has been running) The models will run that data overnight, refresh and populate. See this knowledge article for information.

Is anomaly detection available for programs that were running before the feature release, or is it only available for programs going forward?

Hi Kate,  yes, we are looking at adding a link from a Program to the Performance Insights reporting in the coming year.
We do want to provide contact level details, but will likely do as an export option vs as a hover over since that list could get really big!

Thank you Kate! We will likely add a link to performance insights rather than the older Reports Center. We do have some delivery metrics available now as part of our limited release of Anomaly Insights. Stay tuned for more information on that or ask your customer representative about getting in on that. And yes we are looking at ways to provide contact-level data.

Diane - thanks this is definitely a great feature!

Is there any plans to have a link directly from the program insights screen through to the Program reporting in the Reports Centre on this page?

 Also would be amazing when you hover on the contact volumes under each step/path if you could get a list of the people who have reached each step/exited the program.
