Hi, yes we have seen this with a client also.
In my opinion IBM aren't taking it very seriously despite it resulting in the loss of calibration data. I have a case open currently.
IBM have recommended making these changes to Websphere:
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/token-timeout-behavior-when-ltpa-used-authentication-mechanism-websphere-process-server-wps-and-ibm-business-process-manager-bpm-advancedThis has somewhat resolved the issue, but this hasn't really addressed the underlying issue of Anywhere just throwing away users data rather than validating the connection before it sends.

Subject: LTPA token expires, Anywhere loses connection, user not notified, all unsynced edits lost when Anywhere restarted
Anywhere Work Technician 7.6.4; LDAP/Active Directory authentication:
Problem:
LTPA times out after 2hrs (as per the system setting) and Anywhere loses connection, but the Anywhere user is not notified - the user can continue using Anywhere without realizing the connection has been lost.
When the connection is lost:
- If the user creates a new WO in Anywhere: the WO will be lost / won't be sent to Maximo (even after restarting Anywhere)
- If the user updates an existing WO in Anywhere: the changes will be lost when the user restarts Anywhere (the edits won't be sent to Maximo)
- If a Desktop user updates or creates a WO in Desktop: the change won't show up in Anywhere until Anywhere is restarted
These are serious issues. The problem only happens in an environment that uses Active Directory authentication (not when native Maximo authentication is used).
Observation:
It seems rather suspicious that no one else has reported this issue to IBM. Maybe the issue new to Anywhere 7.6.4 (no mobile first server) and specific to Active Directory/LDAP.
Any insight would be appreciated. (Bear in mind that I'm a novice, so I might not be using the right terminology or providing the right details.)
Thanks.
