University Maintenance Challenges during a Pandemic - January 21, 2021 Networking Roundtable

By Pam Denny posted Thu January 07, 2021 02:42 PM

Escalating challenges from the pandemic are severely impacting higher education facilities.  From

   - Exponentially increasing services for cleaning and virus testing

   - Complex re-arrangements in all buildings to reduce contact/population

   - Massive budget cuts due to refunds for tuition, housing, dining, parking

   - Severely cut state appropriations

Add these to the ever-present challenges of aging facilities -  along with the continuous need for high-tech labs, updated student housing and increased security – and asset and facility maintenance programs are overwhelmed.

On January 21, 2021 from 1 to 2pm EST, hear from a highly experienced panel of Asset and Facility Maintenance professionals from Universities and Colleges across the country as they discuss the continuing Asset Maintenance Challenges they face during the pandemic. This panel includes -

Shawn Harding, University of Kansas, Director of Facilities

Michael Guns, University of Delaware, Maintenance Strategy

Ian Salada, Penn State, Director, Work Control

Tim Pratt, Bates College, IT Facility Specialist

Kyle Harding, IBM Maximo, HSE Product Architect
