An updated PureApplication Pattern for IBM Integration Bus v10.0.0.1 is now available.  This updates the IIB runtime in the pattern to v10.0.0.1, and adds support for use of the Integration Bus software components with the newly released MQ software components in the IBM MQ Advanced Virtual System Pattern Type (watch the video).  Combining these pattern types makes it very easy to define an environment which includes an Integration Node with an associated Queue Manager.

The new IIB 10.0.0.1 pattern type also supports upgrading of existing IIB 10.0.0.0 pattern instances using the built-in maintenance action in the virtual system instance console.

This screen capture from the Virtual System Pattern Builder shows a virtual system pattern where a virtual machine has both MQ and IIB software components.

In order to define a Queue Manager to associate with an Integration Node, the MQ software component needs to be started first, be configured to create a Queue Manager, and the same Queue Manager name specified in the Integration Node attributes.  All MQ objects and authorities that the Integration Node needs are set up automatically when the pattern is deployed.

For more information about these pattern types, refer to the IBM Integration Bus Advanced 10.0.0.1 Pattern Type Knowledge Center and the IBM MQ Advanced Virtual System Pattern Type Knowledge Center.
