Rob Parker - Software Engineer & Security Focal, IBM
Rob has worked at IBM for over 10 years and became the Security architect for IBM MQ in 2019. In this role, Rob is responsible for leading the design, development, and release of security features for IBM MQ.
In the past 4 years Rob has released several key features, including TLS 1.3 support, PKCS#12 Keystore support, and Keystore password support.
Rob is also a regular presenter at technical conferences where he primarily presents on the security aspects of IBM MQ.
Prior to taking on the role of security architect, Rob worked within the IBM MQ container development team, creating the first container image for IBM MQ. This image provides the backbone for the IBM MQ CloudPak for Integration offering and the IBM MQ Saas offering.
