Installing and using the DB2 WebSphere MQ functions

  • 1.  Installing and using the DB2 WebSphere MQ functions

    Posted Mon April 03, 2023 12:15 PM

    Hello
I'm doing some testing with the interface DB2 -> MQ
Using all the defaults for the configuration it runs ok: a default queue manager name (and some other resources) is created, a test message can be put on a test queue with a default name "DB2MQ_DEFAULT_Q"

This queue manager has the default name "DB2MQ_DEFAULT_MQM" and the documentation (DB2 docs) suggest a different queue manager name can be used, but I'm not finding where it can be configured, any hints?
    Thanks
    joao

    Hi,

Presumably you have already found this, but you need to insert another row into the MQService table and specify the queueMgrName: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/db2/11.5?topic=interface-websphere-mq-configuration-parameters

    Regards, Matt.
