  • 1.  Could you please specify the log retention duration for webMethods.io API Gateway?

    Within the API Gateway, specifically in the analytics tab, it provides an option to search the logs for the past year. However, when I attempted this, I could only retrieve logs for the last 30 days. Could you kindly advise on the retention period for the logs in the web API Gateway?

    hi @zain12,
    Yes we can see the logs as per our needs by setting up custom range up to 90 days.
    Log retention is for 90 days or 500 GB whichever hits first.

    Hi Vikash,

    I am looking for the default Log retention period for Analytics in webMethods 10.11 version but I couldn't find any information on this in the SAG documentation. Any idea if there is any default retention period at all in this version.

    Hi Vikash,

    Do you know in which SAG document is the retention period for the logs and the max size mentioned in the document as I couldn't find this information. Also, is there as way that I can reduce this retention period. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Prabhu,

    for on prem  setup for API GW,  We can try with below Watt property.

    watt.server.audit.logFilesToKeep

    Important:If you change the setting of this parameter, you must restart Integration Server for the changes to take effect.

    you find the default limits documented in the service terms.  You find them here:  https://www.ibm.com/support/customer/csol/terms/?id=i126-9878&lc=en

    Depending on your license (Basic vs. Enterprise) you have different limits. 
    When you have a business need to go beyond those limits please let your IBM sales contacts know and ideally also file a feature request for R&D.
