By PRIYANKA KOHLI posted Thu April 01, 2021 02:11 PM

We are pleased to announce the release of DataPower gateway v10.0.2 with new features and enhancements. DataPower is a single multichannel gateway that helps provide security, control, integration and optimized access to a full range of mobile, web, application programming interface (API), service-oriented architecture (SOA), B2B and cloud workloads. The latest release incorporates new and exciting features and improvements around several major areas such as a HSM support in public clouds, auto-scaling of container-based gateways, SSH authentication for CLI sessions, and many more. Let’s look at some of these new features in more detail.

With the latest version of DataPower, we have added the support for network Hardware Security Modules. The HSM availability will provide the highest levels of crypto security capability in your public clouds. This release supports both IBM Cloud HSM (Thales Luna) and Azure with Thales dedicated HSM service.

In Cloud Pak for Integration, we have added the capability for DataPower to perform auto scaling of pods based on load. The dynamic auto-scaling is aims to align allocated resources with respect to the current workload.

In addition, we now support SSH authentication for CLI sessions. With the Role-based management settings you can define the SSH authentication for CLI sessions. You can either retain the existing username and password behavior, or you can choose to select a different behavior like changing password authentication, or user certificate authentication.

We have added an ability to define local addresses for network connectivity tests for debugging network connectivity issues.  You can define which local address to use during connectivity tests. The new local address property is used with commands such as ping, traceroute, and test tcp-connection.
