In the containerized environment, when viewing deployed integration runtime's from the App Connect Dashboard, each integration typically contains multiple replicas. When viewing deployed integration runtime's from the App Connect Dasboard in IBM Cloud Pak for Integration or an independent deployment of the App Connect Enterprise certified container, you are actually seeing a representation of the collection of underlying integration pods. At the top level, the Dashboard selects a single pod to communicate with when querying the integration's content.
As we delve deeper into an IR, we can explore the general configuration that is deployed and perform actions that apply to the collection of replicas. However, to gain a more detailed view of how individual instances are performing, we need to drill down into specific integration pods. For integration runtimes (and Dashboard instances) at version 12.0.10.0-r3 or later, we can examine specific integration pods (identified with the pod name) to interrogate individual instances as needed. This view allows us to perform actions specific to that replica. In particular, we can view the Flow and Resource statistics to understand how this replica handles traffic and its resource usage. These views are real time and populate as the underlying App Connect Enterprise integration server emits events.
The Flow statistics tab provides information about how each integration message flow is processing. It allows us to drill into the specific message flow resources reported by that replica:
The Resource statistics tab gives performance-based information about the App Connect Enterprise integration server, such as memory, connections and thread usage.
These detailed views, previously available through the App Connect Enterprise web user interface, are now available in the containerized environment, enabling us to interrogate specific replicas and collect data in real time effectively.
