Support for Oracle Cloud (OCI)

    We would like to integrate some workloads on Oracle Cloud with Instana observability but I'm not sure it will be possible.

    Is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure supported or will it supported in a short time ?  Is it in the develop roadmap for Instana?

    The services we are actually using are the following:

    • Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
    • Autonomous Database (ATP/ADW)
    • Data Catalog
    • Integration Cloud (OIC) Gen 3
    • OCI Data Integration 
    • OCI GoldenGate
    • OCI Streaming
    • Service Connector Hub
    • Functions
    • Compute VMs

    Hello Carla,

    Thanks for the question. I am actively trying to find a definitive answer for this. My immediate guess would be yes, but this is speculation. I will update here when I find an answer.

    Hi Jonathan,

    thank you very much for your update.

    I red the Instana documentation but I still have some doubts 

    In the link seems that  Instana can be installed on the Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes what I'm  looking for is rather a Cloud service agent for Oracle Cloud like Instana one for Azure or AWS .

    Do you think that installing the Instana Agent on Kubernetes will cover the entire list of OCI components?

    In my opinion we will need more info for the Oracle Cloud environment
