    Hi Sudharsanam

I assume you mean MS SQL.

Our agent monitors latency, errors and throughput from a client perspective (byte code instrumentation of client process) and also captures performance metrics remotely from the DB
    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/instana-observability/current?topic=technologies-monitoring-microsoft-sql-server#performance-metrics

However, Network, Sessions, User Processes, File Space details are not captured by Instana. For these use cases we partner with

    https://www.dbmarlin.com

which is integrated with Instana and for which every Instana customer gets one free license.

    Best regards

    Tom

    Hi

    Thanks for the information,

I had some question on this....

    1. What if a customer intends to purchase 20 VM licenses in Instana and wishes to monitor the database on each individual host?

    2. Is this offer applicable in the Asia-Pacific region?

    3. Can we utilize DB marlin to monitor these 20 databases without any additional fees?

Db marlin is licensed for each db host after the first db host that is free.
