    Hi All,

    I have instana backend v247 installed on a docker . is it possible to enable synthetic monitoring in this scenario? if so, please help me the steps to do the same

    Hi Bhanu,

    As our documentation says, we support Kubernetes/Openshift only and there are no plans in the future to support Docker.

    Yes, you can install the Instana backend in Openshift IBM Cloud edition and then you'll have the Synthetics feature available.

    My colleague @NICOLA SACCOZZA  shared this with me:


    Setup a demo env on Openshift, using this https://github.com/brightzheng100/instana-server-on-k8s/blob/main/all-in-openshift/README.md (with some script adjustments) and the env came up without problems. Just be careful with sizing on a production env, because it needs a lot of resources, especially disk space.

    Of course, I recommend to read the official documentation since it was improved last month, you can combine both and see how it works for your needs.
