What a week it’s been! Attending my first Red Hat Summit was an exhilarating experience, and it certainly lived up to the hype. Allow me to share some of my key takeaways from the event.

The synergy between IBM Instana and Red Hat Ansible proved to be a winning combination for our audience. I had the privilege of speaking at a session titled “Automating Intelligent Actions with Instana and RedHat Ansible,” which garnered significant attention. The room was packed to the brim, with attendees even overflowing into standing room at the back. It was inspiring to see such an engaged audience, many of whom were already utilizing Instana and Event-Driven Ansible and were eager to maximize their potential. The buzz from the session carried over into our demo area, and we even had an influencer capture some of the excitement. Join us for the first webinar in this series to learn more.

LLMs (Large Language Models) are in high demand across various sectors, with customers keen to observe their capabilities. One notable instance involved a customer exploring IBM Instana as a solution not only for observing multiple LLMs but also for leveraging our SLO (service level objective)  capability to establish benchmarks for model performance. IBM Instana recently partnered with an open-source, OpenTelemetry-compliant solution to deliver LLM Observability.

On the topic of LLMs and Generative AI, I was thrilled to learn about the new partnership between IBM and Red Hat with the launch of InstructLab. InstructLab is an open-source initiative aimed at augmenting the capabilities of foundation models. The enthusiasm was palpable, with countless individuals lining up at the Expo area to discover more about InstructLab and explore opportunities for contribution.
