The Content Council has named Destination z—the place where all things mainframe converge—a 2014 Pearl Award Silver winner in the Best Use of Community/Social Media category. The Pearl Awards celebrate excellence in content marketing across print, digital and multichannel platforms. The Content Council is one of the leading organizations for branded content and content marketing in North America.
“Being a custom content creator has dramatically evolved in recent years. Magazines continue to be a critical component in our publishing portfolio; however, to more effectively reach our clients’ customers and prospects, we’ve added myriad digital products including a community website and social media extensions,” says Doug Rock, publisher, Destination z. The site is published by MSP TechMedia, a division of MSP Communications. “We’re proud that Destination z received a silver Pearl Award from the Content Council, as it assists in validating our philosophy of delivering a multi-faceted, yet integrated content strategy for our clients.”
Destination z started as a community for mainframe business partners. Since MSP TechMedia took over the site and moved it to its own domain independent of IBM, the focus has expanded to encompass mainframe clients, business partners, academia and IBMers. Membership has grown from fewer than 300 to more than 4,000. The no-cost signup entitles members to view articles, interact on the forums, be featured in the Member Spotlight, comment on original content including blogs and articles, participate in contests and receive the monthly newsletter, DzInsider.
We thank you, the community, for your support and participation. Learn more about the Pearl Awards here
