Not sure if I understand the question / thread correctly, but DBVisualizer can view LOBs in their tool ; just do a normal select (that can include LOB fields) , and for a record, double click on the LOB field, and it will 'try' and make it readable. Also, when f.i. exporting the full result set to an ...

Hi Andres , all is well that ends well. Good to hear your problem was solved ! Scary that things like this can happen at all, with some configuration mismatch in Db2 instance GID (or UID) and a 'centralised' Identity Access Management software solution to integrate Unix/Linux servers with Active Directory ...

In my humble opinion " IBM Passport Advantage " should have been called " IBM Passport Challenge " , especially now with Db2's new licensing model / change from PVU to VPC and f.i. customers on Db2 v11.1 wanting / being forced to upgrade to v11.5. Somewhere in between that process, on the Passport portal ...

There is a Special Build 39711 for DB2 11.5.0 Fix Pack 0 ( V11.5 GA ) , Release Date 2020/02/08 (it's the second SB for V11.5 GA : previous Special Build 39398 for DB2 11.5.0 Fix Pack 0 was Released 2019/11/12) Sadly, so far, only the GA version (v.11.5.0.0) is available (through Passport Advantage) ...

I have an official " Optim Solutions Terabyte Compliance Guide.pdf " (from 2013) that we received from IBM in June 2017 around the time we purchased Optim TDM . As they then stated ". It's for DB2 z/OS, but might 'translate' nicely to LUW" see attachement. Problem in our case with Optim TDM, for Db2 ...

Starting Db2 v11.5 , licensing tool db2licm has the option " -m " , to lower processor core limit ( see https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEPGG_11.5.0/com.ibm.db2.luw.admin.cmd.doc/doc/r0002451.html ) -m product-identifier num-cores "Updates the number of cores entitlements that the ...

Just a quick search (without looking for your specific usecase) with ' INCORRECT RESULTS ' shows these APAR's : ( https://www.ibm.com/support/home/search-results/P849948M05373L86/DB2_for_Linux,_UNIX_and_Windows?sortby=-dcdate&filter=DC.Type_avl:CT748&prod=G0&noredir=true ) IT29981: DB2 ...

you only want the dabase schema (and not the data) ? Have you tried " db2look " ? https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEPGG_11.1.0/com.ibm.db2.luw.admin.cmd.doc/doc/r0002051.html see this page (for Db2 v11.1) "Mimicking databases using db2look" https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecente ...

I agree, sure will make life easier for us. it can be annoying, when checking the fixed/included APAR's in a Db2 Modpack/FixPack, the APAR info / page itself isn't always updated ... I do know however, it can be tough for Db2 L2 support / development, while they are (still) working on the APAR's (or ...

Hi Peter, Our Optim TDM software was/is purchased and is under maintenance, with an including Db2 license file for the Optim Directory (meta databases) itself. Please be aware that upcoming Optim's new version, that will support Db2 v11.5 , also is shipped with (or customers can get it through IBM's ...

Hi Peter, thanks for the update. Right now we are running Optim v11.3.0.7 with source/targets Db2 v11.1.3.3 Because of Db2 licensing (PVU versus VPC license) and Costs issues, IBM more or less is enforcing us to upgrade from Db2 v11.1 to v11.5 , and this within 3 months. Before that can even happen, ...

For planning and testing purposes, I am desperately waiting for the first FixPack for Db2 v 11.5 Sadly, so far, only the GA version (v.11.5.0.0) is available (through Passport Advantage) for on-premise Db2 customers. By coincidence I found out, there is a "Special Build 39398 for DB2 11.5.0 Fix Pack ...

Sadly, officially there still is no "11.1.4.5 or V11.1.4.4 iFix002" , the latest is Db2 " V11.1.4.4 iFix001 " A real shame actually, because even the latest Db2 V11.1.4.4 iFix001 does NOT include these important Security APAR's !!!
