BM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud is a fully-managed, high-performance, elastic cloud data warehouse. IBM recently published a two-part "Getting Started" tutorial for this offering. The tutorial was developed on the new Flex One offering, available since June 2019. Flex One is the new entry point offering for Db2 Warehouse on Cloud. It is a fully managed, single-partitoned database for growing enterprises and new data warehouse projects.
The tutorial provides a good starting point with Flex One: In the first part, you will learn how search for the offering in the IBM Cloud catalog, and then deploy an instance. Once the Db2 Warehouse on Cloud instance is deployed, the lab will provide the steps necessary to create user credentials. You will then use these credential to log on to the web console of Db2 Warehouse on Cloud.
The second part of the lab describes some first steps of working with data: How to create a database table and how to load data into the table. The final task of the tutorial shows you how to run queries against the database table, using the SQL editor of the web console.
