DCW Extraction/Visualization Tools for Oracle and Teradata

Extraction Script:

The packaged extraction scripts allow us to extract Oracle and Teradata objects based on a schema or schemas. Oracle extraction script will split output files into compatible SQL with DB2 and incompatible SQL.

Schema Visualization:

The Schema Visualization is an important tool during migration process. It gives the user a high-level summary of database objects. Users can clean up their schema file(s) before importing to DCW for evaluation and conversion.

Here are some of the highlights of the tool:

Identify duplicate objects (highlighted in red), table-spaces with names greater than 18 characters (truncated and highlighted in green), and tables with zero rows (bolded). You can select objects you wish to exclude from the UI and then generate a metadata file which helps create an updated, cleaned up source SQL file.
