I'm a little confused.How do I install JDBC?
In the IBM doc (6a), I can see that it's possible to install JDBC during the installation process of IDS 14,https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/informix-servers/14.10/14.10?topic=installing-preparing-installation in the typical installation.
If yes, why not in custom install?
On the other side, in this video
I can see "No JDBC directory"
It said that it's possible to download from here
the command for install is
java -jar dir/setup.jar -i console
do I need to run like this?
java -jar jdbc-188.8.131.52.jar -i console
So, what is the right/simple way for installing JDBC ?
The simplest, especially if you are using maven for building, is to just get it from the main maven repository (https://repo1.maven.org/maven2), as part of the normal build procedure.
Add this to pom.xml:
<dependency><groupId>com.ibm.informix</groupId><artifactId>jdbc</artifactId><version>184.108.40.206</version> <!-- or whatever version you are interested in --><scope>compile</scope> <!-- or test, depends on your requirements --></dependency>Since it is available here, it is also possible to simply download the required jar file from, sayhttps://repo1.maven.org/maven2/com/ibm/informix/jdbc/220.127.116.11/jdbc-18.104.22.168.jar
