Error in trying to schedule a job - on demand run time

  • 1.  Error in trying to schedule a job - on demand run time

    I get the following error message when trying to complete a scheduled job to run on demand:
    Invalid pkcs7 padding (unpadding > aes.BlockSize || unpadding == 0)

    Because of this error, I can't click Finish to schedule or save the job.

    You can open the case against the Product "Db2 Data Management Console" by doing a search for the product from the IBM Support portal page: https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s

    FYI:   I opened a case and got a hot fix from support.  It is working now.  My issues was the password being used was longer than 8 characters.

    There is an interim fix created for this defect.  You can download the fix from fixcentral for DMC 3.1.4 and the fix is:  3.1.4.0-ibm-datamgtconsole-job-allPlatforms_20210129

    Hi Jason,
    thanks for the pointer. I got the same message from support.

    Well, the issue here is, that the customer is using the DMC image from Docker hub, which was not refreshed with this fixpack yet.
    Hence we either have to build our own image, or we have to move to a local install, which is a different pain.
    Or we have to wait for the next refresh of the image...

    The great new technology forces us -- in the long run -- to download giga byte sized images to fix a flipped bit in the source code. But we really asked for it...  ;-)
