Abstract:  This session looks at how you can maximize your use of Db2 for z/OS Function Levels 507 and 508. We’ll cover typical usage scenarios with a focus on the IBM Db2 Administration Tool as your go-to solution for a table space with the MOVE TABLE option to take advantage of the modern Universal Table Space format.  We’ll look at create and replace processes that have been added.   We'll also look at what's near term for Function Level 509. 

We’ll cover the new Db2 Utilities feature, redirected recovery, and show you how to maximize usage in the IBM Db2 Recovery Expert solution.  You'll leave this session with greater confidence best practices and examples for the Db2 Function Levels and other new features.
