John is an enterprise DevSecOps executive leader with over 20 years of professional experience in building and operating DevOps principles, practices, and standards. Before the term DevOps became an industry buzzword, John started his journey in what is now called DevOps back in the early-2000s at bn.com. During his tenure at bn.com, he designed, built, and managed the enterprise SDLC, tools, and overall DevOps organization. After bn.com, John led the DevOps transformation across all business units at NBCUniversal for over 9 years supporting highly diverse and disparate systems. More recently, he built, managed, and supported the enterprise DevOps practice and transformation for Truist Financial Corp which was the second largest bank merger in US history to become the nation's 6th largest bank. John then joined PayPal as Senior Director of Enterprise DevOps and most recently as Managing Director of Enterprise DevOps and Core Services at Blackbaud. John received his PhD with a dissertation focused on DevOps back in 2018 from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He is based out of New Jersey and is a piano player who dabbles in home automation, electrical engineering/building renovations, and automotive/mechanical work.
